As the man walked over Hank turned and looked around in confusion, a bit unsettled by all the noise and then looking around.
They.... they moved?
He looked around, but except for the sounds nothing had changed. Carefully he went over to the door, delicately opening it and then letting out a huff of astonishment. The outside was no longer the park. They had somehow moved into a grocery store. But, of course, the dimensional gateway...
"Stars and garters," the bear whispered, then swallowed before he almost smiled nervously, shifting. "I suppose if anybody asks, I should be a service .... er.... bear. You know. So I'm permitted in the store," he said, half joking, then carefully took himself through the doorway again, ignoring the startled and alarmed people around him and heading over as calmly as possible to the meat section, starting to sniff. This nose was indeed incredibly better than his own human version, but it was still different, and he took a few moments to adjust to the switch and work out what he was looking for.
