Hank was immensely relieved when the Doctor moved to let him in.
"Thank you," he mumbled, shuffling forward. His shoulders weren't too much of an issue as he slanted them slightly, just enough to allow him to get in. His stomach and thick fur, however, were more difficult, however his strength made it still possible for him to pull himself in. Then it was just the slanting trick for his hind legs and he was through. He moved in carefully, then blinked. It all... it was amazing. Even in a slightly more limited color range, the smells and sounds of the TARDIS were so much more... acute in this form. Hank looked around in wonder, then turned towards the Doctor. "Thank you, Doctor, for seeing me."
"I was bitten by a wolf," he confessed a moment later. It was the only thing, the only thing that happened in the last few days that was out of place, that might even hint at the cause of this madness. He hesitated, then nodded and moved to the side, where he thought he might be out of the way. "Hours later.... this. I transformed, in my lab. As far as I can tell I am all bear. Human mutation did not translate." He lifted one of his back paws as he spoked, turning and looking at it, wiggling it slightly as an example to the Doctor. He looked at the man and suddenly noted that he smelled funny. Definitely not human... Hank had known, of course, but just knowing was so different from really knowing.
