Amy was surprised, then mildly afraid. It was a human sounding roar, to be sure, but there was something animalistic about it. As if the roar itself had only been limited by human vocal chords. And a little bit defensive: "Oi. I didn't stomp that h--"
Then she saw his feet.
"--ard. Oh my..."
Amy didn't shriek or run away. Instead she came closer, pushed him backward onto the bed, and then crouched down to get a closer look. Her face lit up with a smile.
"That's so... brilliant."
Amy ripped off his sock like a Christmas present and then laced her fingers with his toes for comparison. She gave his foot a gentle squeeze. "Are they ticklish?"
Amy took the other shoe off. "That must be killer. Can't you at least find shoes that fit? You're in the future now. There's the internet. You can find anything on the internet."
