Hanks cheeks were bright red when their fingers intwined, but he followed along faithfully and looked around, awed by the size of the place. Though technically it was a whole other dimension, so it could be more vast and unending than his own universe. Hm... maybe that's what the City was? A universe that was only the size of a City, somehow, or a pocket of another universe, and so it wasn't something that could be escaped.
"And so you created your own room when you got here?" he asked, keeping pace easily even though the running and odd steps to avoid her own feet were hitting points on his that made it excruciating to keep pace. He stuffed that pain down and hid it though, so he could concentrate on the surroundings (and company) around him.
