"Yes, Dinah, I'm sure. I've seen those spells break apart more often than you can imagine. I know how they crumble and what the reasons are. That spell scattered, it didn't die out."
Harry's jaw tensed, and he took a step closer. "Done hoping?" His voice was even angrier now. "A monster has your son. Your son, Dinah. You said if he wasn't killed outright, the Joker had him for a reason. I don't know what sort of twisted reason he might have, but I know that Jake is alive. No one's seen hide nor hair of this asshole since your boy vanished. You think a man like the Joker would waste even a drop of blood if it meant seeing you in pain? I know damn well Arianna Ortega wouldn't have done that with Maggie. She had a plan, just like this creep. I didn't let the monsters get away with taking my daughter - I'm sure as hell not going to stand by while they still have your son."
He shook his head, trying to clear out some of the anger, the bitterness. Deal with it her way? Without him? That was just cruel. "If you think I can back off without a word, then you don't know me. And if you're taking the word of someone you can't even trust about your son's life.... then I don't know you. Because the Dinah I know wouldn't accept that."
