"You think I've given up on looking for the Joker?" Dinah asked, turning back to Harry, her eyes flashing angrily. "You think I'm just going to let him get away with it? You obviously don't know me as well as I thought."
She sighed and the fight went out of her with that.
"I'm not done searching. I'm done hoping, Harry. I've been checking the hospital, the morgue. I have a doctor at the hospital whose keeping an eye out for anyone about his age and description. I got some information today from a source that I'm not sure if I can trust that says that he's dead. But the thing is, it's been three weeks. I've scoured the City, and there's nothing. That locating spell you tried, when he first went missing-can you honestly tell me that you're sure, beyond a doubt, that it was just his hair being cut that stopped it? That it wasn't..."
Her shoulders shook and she turned back away from Harry.
"I can't keep expecting Dean and Fred and even you to help me in this search. You've all done everything you could, and I can't in good faith ask you all to continue to search. Not with what I heard today, and not with the fact that we've all been grasping at straws for awhile now."
Her lower lip shook and she tried to hold back the tears.
"I just need a little bit of time to deal with this my way."
