"Good, good," he murmured, ushering her inside and closing the door. He smiled a little sheepishly as she thanked him for the flowers. "The whole Emerald Archer thing...Sherwood was the obvious choice."
He just shrugged at her apology. "It's entirely understandable," he said, "I probably wouldn't have handled it much better, in your shoes. I'm glad you came by, though. I would hate to have bad feelings hanging between us." He smiled again. "Can I get you anything to drink? Ginseng cooler? Mineral water?"
