Hank couldn't help the small "meep"ing sound that escaped him when she mentioned looking down women's blouses. He covered his eyes quickly as she moved her hand towards her own breast, then grabbed the vertical pole with his hands and let himself down, landing easily and letting go as he carefully rearranged his clothes to put them right again. "Heaven's no. I'd never... I mean. Aside from the fact I've never done that in front of anybody before," he said, straightening his tie and wishing his face wouldn't stay red for so long.
He looked around, then slowly shrugged. "I suppose I could move where I wanted to in a city. But to be honest I've never tried. Just used them a few times to make adjustments to equipment that was out of reach." He'd certainly never gone galavanting off through a city before. That was risking way too much, and he'd never had time with all his concentration being on his studies.
He brushed his arms off, then looked towards his shoes, suddenly feeling on the spot again. If anybody had passed... had he really just done that in public?
"Their usefulness just doesn't really make up for the restrictions they've put on me," he shrugged. He'd never gotten to go swimming in a public pool as a boy, or been allowed to take gym. He could only see certain doctors and could never take off his shoes when it was hot out and the grass was plentiful enough to walk in. There were so many little things people took for granted, like flip flops, that he'd always been sure that no matter how much fun it was to hang upside down and walk under rafters, it just wasn't worth it. Not the disfigurement, anyway, but that was why he was trying to find a cure that would leave him with the actual ability still, as improbable as that would be to achieve.
