The small woman, or girl depending on what age people thought Red was, watched him with that same curiosity she had when he took off the first shoe. The second was off, and when he stood, she did too. She didn't bother with answer the question about her mother; he wouldn't understand, and she wasn't in the mood to explain. If she explained, then he'd know she wasn't exactly like him.
Baba followed after him, her hands behind her back as she watched. Her eyes widened. Oh, yes, he was truly a Beast. He needed more hair, a few more muscles, but he was a Beast. Her smile only widened. She was practically beaming from her discovery. When she started teasing the boy, she hadn't imagined this was what she'd find.
"Oh, that must be an interesting trick when you get it in your mind to look down women's blouses." Her hand lifted to make sure she was decent. Or perhaps give him a bit of an "accidental" show. "That's got to be useful, you can go anywhere. You could write with whatever you like, can't you? You can do...you could do so many things. They're strong enough to hold you like that? That's...amazing." She just smiled, her mind working. She'd thought of keeping this one to herself, but now she was curious to know what this one tasted like to Eric. Could he taste those basic building blocks, the genetic code?
