Lucy-Belle didn't catch all of what her feline friend was saying. It wasn't that she didn't understand the words, so much as what the words actually meant in this particular situation. She supposed she could somewhat understand.
"This is a holding place. Humans brought us here?" Her tail flicked in slight annoyance. She wasn't fond of being taken somewhere without any consideration of her feelings, but...there was a soft purr at the idea of unlimited fish and Jake. She did like Jake. She butted her head against his cheek again, very happy to see him. At least she wouldn't be alone.
While she couldn't say anything, Lucy-Belle could certainly look up at the female. The smile...it was almost like her Liz's smile. Lucy-Belle sat there for a little while before standing, her tail softly brushing along Jake's. She would allow this Beauty, what a silly name for a human, to pet her.
Elsewhere, a detective was searching for his lost cat. He knew there was a fish market; Jen had told him about it at least once, and he'd checked on it for future reference. He didn't know if he'd ever have to take Jake in, or if his own cat, or Ted's cat, would like fish. It would not hurt to do some investigating. He opted for the fish market, making calls to pounds while he did so.
"She's white, furry, answers to Lucy-Belle. No, that's with an 'e'....Because she looks like an attractive Lucy and does not ring when she walks. Yes, 'e'. Not that the 'e' matters when saying her name. It's on her collar, I believe." He continued to make his way toward the smell of fish. At least he was close.
