Jake was more than curious about The City. He was intrigued by it on a scientific level. It defied all of the known laws of physics determined by his people, and he was interested to see if anyone else had developed intellectual theories on what it was (or what its plans were.) Because, during his time in The City, he had decided that there was a certain sentience to the place that went beyond just buildings and parks and trees. There was something deeply organic about The City, almost as if it knew what it was doing. And maybe it did. And even though his people had an old adage, Curiosity killed the dog, Jake just had to know what other people were thinking about their new home.
Once inside the convention center, he followed the other attendees to the refreshment table. Being a cat, there wasn't too much that interested him. (He wasn't exactly a pastry sort of fellow -- sweets gave him an awful tummy ache.) But where there was tea, there was creamer. And Jake was very fond of creamer. Just as he was very fond of tuna.
He excused himself through the crowd, hopped up onto the table of biscuits and donuts, and found himself a tea bag caddy with a saucer edge. His collar glowed as he used his telekinetic powers to pour the Half&Half creamer into the caddy. Then he hopped off the table, more apologies to those around him, and found himself a seat near the front (the caddy following him in the air.)
Once on the chair, he took a few licks of the creamer, (Mmm, delicious!), and purred. Then he waited for the meeting to begin.
