She had waited long enough in the room. It was getting to the point where her absence was either going to seem conspicuous, or possibly go completely unnoticed. Dinah wasn't a fan of either option. But the fact remained that she couldn't exactly hide in there forever.
So she stepped out of the room and made a beeline for the kitchen, which was only a few feet from where Harry and Murphy still stood.
"There was a bit of a... snafu with breakfast," Dinah explained.
She swore under her breath as she quickly tried to scrape the pans and then put them in the sink and filled them with soapy water.
With that action done, there was nothing left to do but face the pair. She stepped out from the kitchen and looked at Harry first.
"I should really get going anyway. I have a few more leads to follow up on. Um, I'd offer to bring back breakfast to replace the eggs and bacon that I wrecked, but... I'm pretty sure you two have a lot of catching up to do."
As much as she hated the idea of leaving her boyfriend in his apartment with a cute blonde that he most likely had at least some romantic attachment to, she wasn't going to go all clingy-girlfriend. As she'd had to remind herself in the past, he wasn't Oliver. He wasn't... well, he wasn't like any guy she'd ever met really. Harry was loyal-possibly to a fault.
She trusted him, even if the situation made her extremely uncomfortable.
Dinah glanced at Murphy with another forced smile.
"It was... nice to meet you, Karrin. I would say 'welcome to the City,' but I'm pretty sure it's better to offer my condolences that you ended up here. I'm sure Harry will explain."
She lingered for a moment, but didn't draw any nearer to Harry, unsure of whether to kiss him goodbye or just make her exit.
