Dinah took her time in the bedroom getting dressed, hoping to at least give Harry time to get past the shock of seeing Murphy here. After that, well... she didn't know what she expected.
He'd never outright said that there was anything between them, but it was pretty obvious that there was some sort of history there.
Dinah pulled on the fishnets and leotard. After... she didn't even know how many days of searching for Jake, the kevlar weave suit needed a wash. It brought her some comfort to wear the costume that most closely resembled her Mom's old costume. But it was also a reminder that the original Black Canary might have found him by now.
She had spent years working hard to first live up to the name and then to make it her own, but there were still times when Dinah felt like a little girl dressing up in her mother's costume, times when she wondered if she would always fall short of the legacy her mother had left.
She would have to emerge from the room soon, but for now she took her time zipping up her boots, putting on the jacket. Took a breath as she prepared to chase more leads, told herself that the next lead could be the big break that would lead to finding Jake.
