She'd started picking up the things that were in her messenger bag and getting them back inside, kneeling down for a second, standing up and moving, rinse and repeat.
Veronica smirked. "Not my first choice. Right now I'd investigate a cat up a tree if it'd get me something to do and a little bit of money."
... this is the real deal.
Looking up at the guy from on the floor was even harder on her neck. Veronica shoved a notebook back into her bag and stood up, everything collected now.
She got the impression that this happened... more than a little bit... to this guy. That he knew what he was talking about. If he didn't, then he was doing a great job acting and should seriously consider a career in Hollywood.
Seriously, why couldn't it have been some kids messing with the librarian? Life was unfair.
"So... no tasering it then." She pressed her lips into a line and nodded, looking at the useless thing in her hand sadly.
"Somehow I'm thinking you know what we're supposed to do, here."
