"Yes, Booth is kind of crazy. But he's crazy in a "sniper complex" kind of way. And Zack is all there, Ang." Bones stood up for Zack, mostly because she was just like him. He didn't get all the social aspects of life outside the lab, just like her. She said, "I don't know what that means." more often than she cared to think about.
Brennan put an arm around Angela's shoulder after shifting her briefcase to the arm holding the grocery bag. "I know this doesn't make sense, but I assure you, you are still sane." She gave her a half smile and ushered her down the street toward her apartment. "No, you're not down the block from your apartment. Your apartment doesn't exist in this place." She could hear the panic rising in Angela's voice.
She urged her up the stairs to her top floor apartment and opened the door. She ushered her inside and shut the door, setting her briefcase on the floor and the grocery bags on the counter. This apartment looked a lot like her old one, but without the same artifacts and a different layout. "You're going to think I'm crazy when I say this, but you're not in Washington DC anymore, Ang. You're here." She gestured with her hands. "They call it The City."
She sighed, knowing that she wasn't helping at all.
