Fred had been so engrossed in what she was doing, that yet again, she lost track of time. She was having a problem finding anything. There were cameras to use galore, but none of them showed her the place she wanted at the time she wanted. The City was either being difficult, or she had lost her touch with computers. She couldn't even find a hyena or an Impala, how hard was that? There couldn't be that many in the City, right?
She was brought to the moment, not by the knocking, but by an alert. It wasn't exactly an alarm, or not the kind of alarm she would have used. Just some red light with a sound. Then agian, if you wanted some place to be secret, you probably didn't equip it with blaring horns and large flashing lights.
She looked at a monitor, staring a moment. How had that man gotten there? How did he know to get there? While she didn't want to trust just anyone, she had a hard time believing the guy on the monitor was the one she was looking for. Thankfully, perhaps, she was smart enough to leave the bat earrings on. They'd come off easily enough.
Fred didn't move, something said don't let him in, something said she should hide. But, something else said get her ass out there before the stranger disappeared. Maybe it was a friend of Dinah's; the woman did know a lot of heroic types. Then again, so did Fred.
She took the elevator up and opened the door for the stranger. Just a little bit anyway. "Yes?"
