Castiel wasn't used to angels smiling at him. Not nice smiles, anyway. He blinked in surprise, and then figured that he must be missing something. Most angels only smiled when they were about to get down to some serious smiting, and it tended to make other people nervous. Castiel was just surprised, not unnerved. It wasn't as if he was talking to an archangel, after all.
"I was hoping you could tell me," Castiel replied, in his gravel voice. He shifted uncomfortably, a very human bad habit that he had recently picked up. "You know this Crowley I am meant to find?" he asked, curiously. Most angels didn't get on with demons. "Is he dead?" They smote them.
