Eric waved a hand. He really really didn't care about what was done to the girl. It did irk him a little that another vampire had dared to mess with a human in his employ, but not enough for him to even mention it beyond what he had.
"Being new here doesn't automatically make me stupid. You might have seen a young man with wounds, but you can't pin that on me with absolute proof. Even if you were to ask him, he'd never be able to tell you." Alright, so Eric was giving away a little bit of himself here, but the vampire had already figured out that he'd done it, or guessed at the very least. And it wasn't as if the guy could really do much about it.
"You're going to have to give me a reason as to why I should care about what the citizens of this city do to you."
Eric eyed the vampire, wondering what kind of rules were in place where he'd come from. Wondering where he'd come from, for that matter.
"As you've stated, I'm older than you." Eric tilted his head a bit. "From what I can tell, by quite a bit. I'm sure that even where you're from you've got a thing about respecting your elders. So please, enlighten me. What can you give me or do for me that would make me care."
He'd yet to be threatening in any manner. In fact, he was more amused than anything. This was his first vampire meeting since being here. They were clearly not the same kind of monster. Eric was beginning to think of the situation in breeds. This one was not the same breed as he.
