Charlie's eyes dropped. He hadn't exactly wished for that, and he was a little surprised at what she wished for, that she felt she had to wish for something like that. Then again, he guessed he shouldn't have been. He wasn't the most straightforward type, not exactly. He finally looked up at her.
"I actually wanted to tell Reese, but it is impossible to tell Reese. Though, I do mean what I said. Every word of it, but Reese really isn't my partner anymore, is she? She can't be if she's not here. You are, so..I guess my wish did indeed come true." His smile was soft at first then it brightened.
"I'm also sorry that you are me today. While normally I would think people would enjoy a little day trip off the regular logic train, I know it can be unsettling." He gave her a quick wink before tucking into his breakfast to finish it off.
Hopefully whatever happened to them wouldn't last long. They had a job to do, and while he didn't mind Jennifer being a little more..."open" and he would guess she might not mind his current straightforwardness, he didn't think they were at their best at the moment. They were who they were, and he had to hope they'd go back to being who they were soon, with just a little something extra added in for this experience.
