Castiel had an odd quickening sensation over every inch--his own form, not just the human's--as Fred leaned against his chest, and he stopped thinking and just answered as he pleased, focused more on her than the conversation. He quashed the power leak--the glow--that he knew she noticed at the very last second. He eyed his hand to make sure as she leaned away.
He tried not to yearn after her, with moderate success.
"Many of the Fallen were Watchers," Castiel said, reluctantly, feeling a sudden stab of guilt, and yes, some fear. "My brothers say it is because we get too close." He shook his head. "I am... not in a story." He shifted uncomfortably. Perhaps this was what happened to the Fallen. They got to close. He looked away from her and tried to think.
