Fred hadn't been trying to hide on the edge of the balcony, so being found by someone with a great ear and a wonderful set of red horns was not too surprising. The surprise was that he was here and he remembered her. She didn't squeal, but she did jump a little in excitement. She moved quickly to wrap her arms around him for a proper hug.
"Oh, Lorne!" There was such relief and happiness in her voice that it probably was rolling off her. Fred was one of those who felt strongly, and right now she was feeling strongly in her favorite demon's direction.
"Oh, I'm so happy you're here. So the Caritas is real? I thought it might be a joke. A very cruel joke. You're really here?" Her eyes were wide as she realized something. "I didn't bring you here, did I? You didn't come here just now? No, of course, you didn't. That would be silly because Caritas has been open for a little while. I'm sorry I didnt' come by, but I didn't want it to be some bad joke. Some evil joke; it'd break my heart if you weren't there. Of course, the last time I saw it it wasn't looking its best. I didn't want to risk going in there, and making it bad again. I know I didn't last time, but still. I didn't want to take the risk, any risk." She paused as she looked up at him.
"I'm sorry that you're stuck here, but I'm glad that you're here. I'm really really glad." She smiled, but she did have that look of about to cry. She didn't want to, but it was as if she weren't alone. She had made friends in the City, yet they weren't the same as someone from her own place, even if he might not have been from her own time.
