Dinah suddenly realized that she wasn't alone on the balcony. It was odd, but she had been so distracted when she'd first stepped onto it that she hadn't been aware of her surroundings, or of the woman who was currently taking refuge further down the balcony.
Dinah turned and blinked in surprise. She glanced toward the doors to the balcony and then back to Fred. She approached the other woman.
"Fred, how did you get out here so quickly? I thought I just saw you," she said, surprise in her tone.
