Jennifer turned to look at who had spoken to her. She got the feeling that he was worth her time, so she smiled at him. She wasn't sure about what he was wearing, but to each their own.
"I would love one."
There was much to look at, many people dressed in many fine things. She was happy that she had decided to attend. What had been her thoughts of staying home, anyway? She couldn't remember now. But that just meant they'd been unimportant. She thought she spied Charlie, but couldn't be sure. The man she was looking at seemed to be very young. Not that Charlie was old, but just not quite that youthful.
She turned back to her new companion. "I apologize. I thought I spotted somebody I knew, but it couldn't be him. My name is Jennifer."
