Fred's hand caught his arm. She wasn't usually this forceful, if it could be considered forceful. Her brows furrowed as she tried to read his face; something was off, then again, when was something not off in the City.
"No. No. You're thinking of doing something very stupid. I mean the City doesn't let people die, at least not for long." She looked away with a shrug, then back at him. "This isn't a dream, Arthur. It's not something you're going to kill yourself then wake up somewhere else. You might kill yourself, and wake up in the hospital here, but you're not going to go unless it wants you to. Not that I'm saying you're going to kill yourself, but you don't exactly sound like you're about to go have tacos and ice cream either."
