"Juice. And, we will not talk to him until we have no other choice. There is..that place. It has doctors. We can talk to them. We do not need to tip him off about the murders, not yet. Certainly not if he is the one who committed them. Of course, if he is the one who committed them, he'll be proud of it." Charlie's eyes narrowed as he thought this through.
"We'll have breakfast, and think." It was probably not what she wanted to hear, and it was highly unlikely either them would eat very much after what they'd seen. "It is good to see you, Jennifer." He looked at her, giving her a slight smile.
"Perhaps an apple instead of juice. Or a starfruit. Pomegranate?" He was smiling, even though they were surrounded by craziness. He was smiling. Well, he was talking about fruit. Plus, he wanted her to smile. He cared about her, even if they were still getting to know each other.
