So they didn't have anything. That was fantastic. Jennifer didn't understand how all of this could be done with no trace of the person who had done it. It baffled her. It didn't look like any care was taken to hold back. At all.
"In the asylum." Jennifer felt the back of her neck grow hot. She found herself thinking, just for a moment, that these two had gotten everything they deserved. They'd treated people like shit for god knew how long. Now they were dead. She was able to shake it off by reminding herself that she was a cop. This was a crime. It needed to be solved.
"Lots of pictures." Jennifer agreed. "Even if you don't think we need a picture of it, take one anyway. I want to be able to reconstruct this room down to the last inch with photographs. When you get the bodies back, I want the same thing done with them." She stared hard at the techs. "Do you understand me? Every single inch."
She turned to Charlie to try to get an idea of what he was thinking. "Do you think it's a grudge killing?" Sure, it went a little far for something so simple, but with the kinds of people this place had? Who knew.
