Everyone was always surprised to learn that Bruce was a baseball fan. Baseball games were about the only civilian broadcast that made it onto the military base when he worked there, and he got a number of double-takes and odd looks whenever he sat in the lounge in his button-down shirt and lab coat, cheering the Cubs.
It had been a while since he had enough money to attend a game, but on a college professor's salary he could afford to live a little. There was only one problem...
