Baba had yet to learn about the red eyed boy, but she could see, feel almost in him, what he was without looking. He did not disgust her; he was there to grow, to evolve, to become. He had accepted that there was a path, even here in the City, for him to take, unlike so many others. He was not afraid of what the City could do for, to, and with him, although he could be very displeased with it.
"Yes, then I would need to explain my origins, and so much more. They do not know when to stop. You should take care you do not forget as well." She looked up at him, smiling just slightly. "You are still one of them; different in your insight, but you still have the human flaws. As I still have my own kind's flaws." Baba watched him for a moment longer before turning her attention to the couple.
"It may be. She is a nurse. He is a doctor. They normally work at the Hospital." Yes, the City had given her more than the pair; it had given her a possible replacement for Dexter, not that she would call Hannibal that. No, he was not the same as Dexter, but he could keep her somewhat occupied. There was something else out there for her to keep her other needs satisfied; possibly she had seen it, sitting on that throne among the duller members of the City's children.
