He was more a person for classic movies than things like that.
"Oooh. I can see where this could get bad."
The next thing out of Jesse's mouth almost made the demon fall off of the bench. He didn't know which part to address first.
"Fred!?" He sat straighter, and a huge smile plastered itself across his face. "Is she okay? I mean, she's not... writing all over the walls and hiding under tables or anything?" Lorne sighed. He didn't know Fred all that well, yet. But he liked her. Liked her a lot. "Freddikins being here is quite the gift. I could do with a friendly face."
He knew about Spike. But what Jesse was saying, it didn't match up.
"If we're talking about the same Spike, he must've went and got himself a destiny in a big fat hurry. I know about Spike. And what I know of him isn't good. He's Angel Cake's rival, for one. And no way does he have a soul." He paused.
"You took out his soul?" He was staring.
"Pardon me for almost wetting myself, but a few questions, if I may. One, why in the name of all things lovely and Mary Poppins would you do that? Two, *how* did you do that? I guess those things might not really matter, but I'm fascinated by the soul-having vampire topic."
