Lorne furrowed his eyebrows, thinking of some of the beasts that ran around Pylea. He knew there must be champions here, but he reasoned that, much like LA was ill-equipped to handle such a thing even with Groo and Angel and Gunn on hand, the City probably was in terrible shape if something like that came to pass.
"What do you mean, shouldn't exist?" His phone beeped. Lorne snarled at it and turned it off. Caritas could wait. "I know all about the impossible. I mean, look at me." He chuckled. "Back home, I work for a vampire with a soul that wants to save the world. His lady-crush gets visions of bad things that'll happen. We go stop them. And my friend Fred got sucked through a portal to my home dimension for five years. I'm all over impossible."
He sighed. "But... shouldn't exist? I haven't heard that one before, even if I pretty much gave myself the rest of that speech when I got to LA. What do you mean?"
