Charlie watched the young man. Well, at least he didn't seem to mind the news. Then again, some people took certain bits of news in stride, while others did not. He watched his fellow diner for a moment before finishing up the other cobbler and nudging the plates away.
"He's not here. As in the diner. He is in the City. Or he was. He might not be any longer, I suppose. It really depends, I guess, on whether or not he's been sent home, if it can be said that anyone can be sent 'home.'" Charlie gave this a thought or two as he took a sip of coffee. It was interesting.
"He may be at home or wherever he goes. I should probably find that out..." Charlie took another sip of coffee.
