Fray grabbed the crystal out of the air in a two-handed catch. It was a decent size, purple, and looked heavy. She caught it and realized she was right--it was heavy. For its size, anyway. She palmed it and looked at it, lifting it to eye level and then looking past it, around it, with an arched eyebrow at Wes.
"Meditate on the sphere." She shook here head a little, like Wes was totally hopeless. Part of her thought he was. And... wait. Flames? "Flames?"
She lowered the crystal a little and let Wes see the huge grin on her face. "What IS it with you Watchers and fire?"
Fray sighed, briging the rock back to eye level and holding it there with both hands, head tilted slightly. "Y'know, this is totally insane, right?" She thought at the crystal, and concentrated on it, and looked into it. There was a weird flaw in the center that looked kinda like fire. Was that what Wes meant? Harth had the brains part of this package; she'd already told him that. Mel's eyebrows drew together.
And she didn't move after that.
Fray was peacefully hypnotized by the flaw in the center of the crystal, completely unaware of anything aside from it. And she'd stay that way until someone snapped her out of it.
