We need to talk (City)
Baba sat in a quiet room, a bowl of water before her. She put her finger in it and started to make slow circles. It was an old trick really, scrying. There was always a chance someone could have wards up, or the City wouldn't allow for such. There was always a chance she could look into something or somewhere and be looked back at. Baba wasn't worried. She was waiting for something...
It was that time of night, or day, when the sun was starting to rise. The world was starting to wake up, or at least half of it, while the other half was heading somewhere to hide from the sun. It had taken a day or two for the moment to be right, but the waitress saw her moment. It was time to do what she had been told to do.
Eric was alone. The others were off doing this or that, and the waitress was finally going to complete her mission. She walked slowly up to him and pulled out one of the larger kitchen knives. Where she had kept it hidden was really anyone's guess, and it really wasn't anything to worry about.
"She wanted to know if you were a king or just someone playing the part." The knife was held up as the waitress came closer. "Now I have to do this." Without further warning, the raised knife was soon buried in the waitress' stomach. She would continue to do so until she was stopped.
Eric watched as the waitress did as she'd been told. Baba watched to see if it was anger or something else. Once she saw that anger was not the reaction, she let the image go and upsetting the bowl. Yes, with that done, she had someone else she needed to speak with.
"City, we need to talk. Please, do not make me use force to summon you." She'd already killed one of its own, using some of its power. So, was it going to make her do more damage to get some attention?
