Zoe stared at him, brow raised. He was certainly flamboyant, and she didn't seem at all bothered by the lost person. Well, she'd at least try to help, maybe.
"You almost ran over children." That was the only explanation he was getting for his "lost endeavor." She didn't have to roll her shoulders back, or lift her chin, or any of those little things that women tend to do when they're trying to show confidence. Zoe was always just this side of at attention; it felt natural. "Perhaps he is further in; did he do something to you?"
Zoe was going to regret the answer; she should have simply shrugged and walked away. The Amazon knew better than to ask questions of strangers, specially ones who didn't look as if they'd been hurt or if they were all that angry/upset. Well, maybe a little more upset than present company.
