"They don't complain about mine." Zoe's hand rested on the mare's leg strapped to her own leg. "Then again, I don't have something like that sitting in my lap." Zoe tilted her head toward the gun on his lap. "I doubt they'll do much of anything to you for now."
The Amazon shifted a little on the bench and gave him another good look. Yeah, she understood the sleeping, or lack there of. The light dozing that kept her and her team, or more Mal's team, alive. They were both soldiers, and it was strange. It was until recently, until she'd woken up in the asylum that she realized there was more than one soldier in the City. Not just her. She gave him a soft smile.
"Look. Not giving a handout, other than the food, and it's just because I don't like seeing good food going to waste. Eat it." It almost sounded like an order. "I know some people could use a strong body or two, nothing illegal, and not really that adventurous." She pulled out one of those damned cards Alfred and Wayne Industries had foisted on her.
