Fred was hopeful to say the least. It wasn't that she wanted to leave Wes behind, but the City refused to follow any set pattern, meaning Fred was having a hard time finding a formula for it all. Unfortunately, hope was not enough, and they were back in the library. The names sounded fun even if she wasn't going to get the experience of them.
The Doctor spoke quickly and acted just as so...her brows furrowed as she thought that one through, but he'd said a magic word - better than any of the other words he'd said. She quickly settled into step behind him, if they didn't get separated along the way.
"Wait, I know where you can get great pancakes. I'm a pancake expert. They're really good. They've got great waffles too. Of course, more power would be interesting. I mean, the City is constantly changing, right? Well, you didn't know that, but now you do. The City is constantly changin', so that's usin' lots of energy. I mean, you can't rearrange a whole city without havin' some major mojo. Unless you're not really rearranging but rather jus' altering people's perceptions, but that'd take lots of energy too. Plus it's able to make things just exist, so yeah. Lots of energy." She'd smile; finally something logical came to her. It was better than thinking someone had funneled fictional characters into one spot to see what they'd do to each other - why would anyone want to know that? Fred was rather sure she wasn't fictional, after all.
Now if the Doctor heard all that...well, that remained to be seen.
