Eric didn't move as she stopped in front of him. He eyed her carefully, taking in her tiny form and the way she stood, as if she might be able to hurt him. Defiant. Sure of herself. Yet so very small. It was quite intriguing.
"What am I doing? I'm opening my bar. I would think that from the posters placed around town and the big one right outside the door, something such as that would be clear. But if I need to make it more obvious, I suppose I could rent some giant spot lights and have a big inflatable gorilla that holds a banner saying 'Grand Opening'. Would that appeal to you more, human?"
His eyes landed on the cross around her neck. He leaned forward and lifted it from where it rested and let it lay in his palm.
"This is cute, you know. I have no clue why so many of you think this will do anything to us." He was glad to discover it wasn't silver. Not that it would have stopped him, but he would have had to hide the burn mark on his palm for a while after.
