What she wanted to say to him was that this was a little too much in one go, but Kaylee had a problem saying no to Simon. Because even if this wasn't her Simon, well it was. Just a slightly younger version of him. He hadn't lived through everything she had with her, but he was still Simon. Still Simon, which meant, him doing this was kind of making her feel like she should try being the way she was before. Which was wrong, wasn't it? He'd made it completely clear before that he thought of her... differently. She didn't want to get her hopes up.
That was of course the biggest problem. Kaylee couldn't help but get her hopes up. Even if she could see the warning signs a million miles away.
He was just concerned for her well-being.
"Okay. We'll go and you'll stay in the room while I'm looked over. And if you want I'll do the same for you. Unless you're uncomfortable! Then I'll sit outside and wait until you're done. Then we can go find other people and get ice cream. Or food. Or whatever we run in to since this City is weird."
