"To be fair, I think even the ones who have been here a really long time aren't ever truly ready for what this place throws at them. They might take it a little easier than the rest of us, but ..." she shook her head. "This City has some pretty crazy ideas."
She almost bombarded him with a couple other stories, but decided against it. Even though the ones she'd thought of were funny, like the Cupid it had released on them, they were still fairly traumatizing. Jennifer figured that she'd done enough to warn and possibly worry the guy.
Standing in front of the doors now, Jennifer wondered what the City would look like on the other side of them. If there were any further 'improvements' going on, or if it would be just the same as when she'd left it.
"Ready?" She asked John, but didn't actually wait before giving the heavy door a big shove.
