Jareth was so shocked that the man with the pointy ears had the audacity to touch him that he didn’t even complain. He just sort of let him assist. Then the man spoke and while Jareth was far from what could be considered dim, he wasn’t exactly sure if that was the man’s way of telling him to suck it up or not.
Needless to say, he was far more accustomed to the crasser language used by those in this realm and the goblins in his own that he appreciated eloquence when it was offered.
Once his equilibrium had returned, Jareth stood up straight and continued walking forward. At least he was dressed comfortably and no longer felt like he was wandering around in pajamas, which he had felt like he had been doing since he got to the Asylum. Even if he hadn’t been wholly alert.
“Assistance appreciated,” he said quietly. Didn’t need anyone else to hear him say it. Jareth had an image to maintain after all.
