Lorne took the card, reading it over. Harry, Lorne decided, might be a little rude, but he seemed decent. He was offering help, and Lorne needed that help. He smiled and nodded.
"Whatever you can do would really be great. It's hard to have a sanctuary when you can't but the 'sanct' in the 'ary' all on your own."
So, you can tell a little bit about what people should be doing, so long as they sing for you?
"Yes and no, kitten. All I can do is see the path they're on. The future can be changed, in pretty much every case. As a friend of mine said once, nothing's inevitable as long as you can look it in the face and say 'you're evitable.'" Lorne smiled, remembering Fred. He didn't know her all that well, yet, but she was a sweet girl.
Exhausting?
Lorne thought about the fiasco with Darla. He thought about Holtz, and Caritas exploding into smithereens.
"Oh, it can be. It can be. But I love what I do. I can't imagine not doing it."
Lorne polished off his Sea Breeze.
"What about you two crazy kids? What do you do? When you aren't... y'know..." Lorne waved a hand around in a circle. "Being a wizard."
