“Look, we just gotta find the stairwell, which I think is this way,” he pointed to his right, “and go down until we reach the bottom floor. That’ll get us either to the basement… or a floor with an exit.” He was being logical. The girls might have been relying on magic and prowess and all that, but Sweeney was relying on instinct.
Instinct had gotten him through a great deal when he was living in the treetops. And instinct told him the way out was to go downward first and foremost.
“C’mon, let’s go.” He had to admit though, whatever powers the girls had were certainly doing a number on the building and any obstacles in their way.
