"Was. Yes. Corporal in the Independents Army." Zoe nodded slightly. It wasn't like she could hide it. They knew their kind, military types. She knew a medic when she saw one, and he knew...well, he knew whatever he knew when he saw it. She had almost laughed at the idea that she was once police. She'd done little that was lawful in her time, well, lawful by majority standards. Actually lawful by many people's standards depending on what it was.
"Seen some military types do a great deal more damage than they needed to." The Alliance had had a nasty habit of going over the line when they wanted, which was often. Not that the Browncoats were any better at times. She knew she'd certainly done a few things that weren't exactly right.
