Zoe looked at him, her brows raised, a sad smile on her lips. Well, that was interesting. She shook her head and motioned for him to sit back down. It wasn't that she'd meant to offend, not too much.
"Didn't mean to upset you." She turned to look at him, her head tilted slightly, resting now on a lifted hand. Her elbow propped up on the back of the bench. "It was on the poor taste side of things, I guess. But, you can't take this place too seriously. Certainly not when every person in here is suspect. Fong luh.* I'm included in that. Not exactly dressed for high tea, am I?" She motioned to her current attire. The sad smile hadn't faded; it did grow a little less sad.
"I could be right out my head, couldn't I?" Actually if she were, it'd make things a whole hell of a lot simpler. But, she knew she didn't belong here. She knew somehow, that more than half these people didn't belong here.
"Probably am." What she was considering for an escape was more than a little crazy. "Have a seat. I'll try to keep my offensive remarks to a minimum." The smile grew a little.
