Anita happily picked up her fork as the waiter brought over her platter of kebabs. Grilled meat and vegetables together? On a long pointy stick? It just didn't get better than that.
Chewing her first, wonderful bite of marinated steak, she thought about how to give the 30-second version of her life.
"Well, I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Obviously, you know that in my world, zombies and vampires are kind of matter-of-fact elements of life. I got a degree in preturnatural biology and debated going to grad school, but a job came my way and I took it. I'm an animator, which means I can raise zombies. You'd be surprised how in demand that particular calling has turned out to be by me. I also learned to become a federally licensed vampire executioner. Pretty soon, that's how I was known. Just as the Executioner. Great fun at parties, let me tell you."
Pulling some onion and pepper off the kebab with a fork, she said, "Do you want me to keep going and save questions for the end, or do you have some now?"
Anita popped the veggies into her mouth and waited for his response.
