Bemused, Anita followed where he led. Hey, it wasn't every day a guy with a Lamborghini took you out to dinner. Even for her life, this was something special. Besides, there was no Jean-Claude here to pamper her and make her feel cherished. She may as well get some of the nicer things in life however they came.
She had to laugh, though, when they got to the restaurant and were seated with menus before he could even get past the word 'zombie'.
"Yea, I'm told it messes with people's heads. Where I'm from, it's been a fact of life for a while now. oh, and vampires have legal rights too. can't just kill them anymore, you need a legal order of execution. That's my day job...er, night job. Other night job. All my jobs are night. Dammit."
Burying her head in the menu, she muttered, "Can't even act normally for one night. What's wrong with you?" A bit louder, she said, "Oooh, they have kibbeh! Good choice, Bruce."
