"Oh, it's alright." Jack smiled almost soothingly. "It's okay friend Spike. We'll catch you up. In no time, you'll be nearly as good as I am. No worries. Really."
He looked at the tall man for a moment.
"I'd like to hear the rest of your resume, however, before I make my final decision. You're the best applicant I've had thus far, I won't lie to you. And you have a lot of potential. But in fairness to the others, I have to go over everything, don't I?"
If he'd had glasses on, he would have adjusted them now.
