Charlie had just sat down and was enjoying the explanation, what it was, when he too realized that Jennifer had fallen asleep. He set his plate down and quickly gathered her soup up while tucking her in a bit better. He took the soup into the kitchen and pulled the kettle off the fire. He didn't need tea. He walked back into the living room, settling once more with his food.
"She is sick, yes. It is a form of enlightenment, yes, but it also a way of life. People who decide that zen works for them, tend to come to it by a decision rather than it being forced on them. He settled back in his seat with his food once more.
"Some people don't like having their minds invaded. They don't like others to know what they're thinking" He took a bite of sandwich and chewed thoughtfully. "Actually I don't think anyone likes it when people know what other people are thinking, when they think it."
