Sidekick? Crowley hardly thought of himself as a sidekick. Orchestrator, maybe. Instigator and enabler, certainly. But not a sidekick. He was more of a watcher in this instance. And watching Elle was his primary reason for being here. He wanted to keep her on tracky, to instigate and encourage her attack on the castle -and the Queen inside.
It was the right thing to do from his stance and hardly made him a sidekick. He was more like the rat from Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles. The old guy in Karate Kid. Except that he wasn't using his powers of advisement for good.
A guard approached him, screaming a sort of sad battle cry. A pathetic one. At least considering all the far superior battle cries he had heard during his long existence. Crowley turned his head toward his attacker and waved his hand, sending the guard flying through the air and out of the way.
Crowley moved closer to his ingenue and Harley, frowning at the latter. He debated growling to try to scare her away, because she was holding Elle back now just by distracting her and that was no good at all.
