((Apologies this took so long, it's been a busy week at work!))
Just because it was summer didn't mean that Lee didn't have anything to do. Aside from the vigilante thing, she was also coaching summer soccer down at the school. It was relaxing in a weird way--not as physically challenging as beating the shit out of killers and rapists, and she didn't lose herself in it the way she did in drinking until she could barely walk, but nice in its own way.
The walk back wasn't bad as long as the weather held, either. And the weather was definitely holding now. She was almost humming as she passed the park. That is, until she saw the dollhouse flying over the street towards both it and her. She watched, one eyebrow raised, as it wedged itself into a fork in one of the bigger trees, and "hmphed" to herself.
Not even normally-jaded Lee could just ignore something like that. And it wasn't like it was out of her way or anything, right? She sidled over to the tree and dollhouse, peering over with a curious eye. Obviously, the damn thing couldn't just fly on its own. That would be stupid, even for someplace as weird as the City. So what was it? An invisible person, bent on playing Barbie? A ghost intent on reliving its lost childhood? She eyed the area around the dollhouse carefully, looking for imprints of a body in moss and leaves, or ectoplasm, or anything that could hint at what moved the dollhouse.
